About
Alex Mensah Tenkorang, Principal.
TAMENSAH Consulting is the professional practice of Alex Mensah Tenkorang, a software engineer, designer, and AI practitioner based in Accra, Ghana.
Profile
Alex has worked on the web for more than ten years, beginning as a developer at the University of Ghana in 2013. Since 2019 Alex has worked independently with organisations in Ghana, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, India, Thailand, and the United States.
That record covers web platforms, content management on Drupal and WordPress, integrations, accessibility, and design systems, including the Mangrove Design System built while Lead Frontend Developer for the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction.
Recent work concentrates on applied AI: assistants grounded in an organisation's own documents, automated workflows, and training that helps staff use AI tools well and safely. The practice exists to make that work dependable for organisations that cannot afford experiments that go nowhere.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from the University of Ghana.
Working principles
How the practice works.
- 01
Principal-led
The person who scopes the work leads it and stays your point of contact. Any specialist brought in is named in the proposal before work begins.
- 02
Scope first
No fixed quote before the problem, deliverables, exclusions, and responsibilities are agreed in writing.
- 03
Practical outcomes
Recommendations are judged by whether your team can run and maintain them after handover, not by how advanced they sound.
- 04
Plain reporting
Progress, risks, and limits are reported as they are. Claims about results are made only when they have been measured.
